Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure software and hardware architectures for mission-critical platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- Integrate security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle and establish secure engineering standards and guidance.
- Lead threat modeling, cybersecurity risk assessments, attack-surface analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Support RMF, ATO, eMASS, security documentation, audits, assessments, and accreditation activities.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, remediation validation, secure configuration, and system hardening.
- Collaborate with Software, Embedded, Hardware, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security Operations, government, customer, and program teams.
- Mentor engineering teams on secure development and security-by-design principles.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, product security, application security, or related engineering roles.
- Experience with software security design, secure system architecture, threat modeling, cybersecurity risk assessments, SSDLC practices, and application security.
- Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and DFARS.
- Experience supporting ATO processes, security documentation development, and eMASS.
- Understanding of cloud, endpoint, network, and identity security concepts.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to work at government facilities with sensitive information are required.
- Ability to obtain additional security clearances as required by contract.
- Preferred qualifications include active security clearance; defense, aerospace, government contracting, or regulated technology experience; embedded, sensor, edge computing, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, hardware security, TPM, secure boot, cryptographic hardware, supply-chain security, regulated cloud, or security automation experience.
- Preferred scripting experience includes Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and preferred certifications include CISSP, CSSLP, GSEC, Security+, or equivalent.
