Responsibilities
- Develop and own backend features and services using Python/Django.
- Build and evolve frontend experiences using React and TypeScript.
- Design, create, and troubleshoot integrations with third-party vendors.
- Lead complex initiatives from discovery through deployment and own solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Drive engineering excellence through mentorship, architectural reviews, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with Product, Data, and UX teams on experimentation, hypothesis validation, and measurable customer outcomes.
- Shape architecture for scalable, reliable, maintainable systems and improved developer productivity.
- Influence technical direction and align engineering decisions with business and customer impact.
- Participate in the squad’s on-call rotation, occurring one week every five weeks.
Requirements
- Senior-level full-stack engineering experience with approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend work.
- Experience designing and evolving large-scale web applications, APIs, distributed systems, high-volume data flows, and scalable architectures.
- Ability to make technical trade-offs balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including influencing decisions, driving best practices, and contributing to architectural direction.
- Strong product mindset and ability to use experimentation, data, and customer insights to solve ambiguous business challenges.
- Experience independently driving complex initiatives from concept through delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills across engineering, product, design, and data teams.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Experience contributing to code and design reviews and raising engineering quality through technical leadership.
- Understanding of observability, reliability, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Hands-on experience using agentic AI beyond code generation, including setting quality gates and safety nets and proposing AI-native alternatives.
