Base Salary

$221k - $221k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of secure, high-performance bootloaders for next-generation electric vehicles.
  • Define bootloader architecture and interfaces for multiple ECUs and microprocessor platforms.
  • Implement secure boot and secure software update mechanisms, including firmware deployment and rollback strategies.
  • Develop portable, scalable C code for real-time embedded environments.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, low-level software development, system debugging, and code optimization.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and validate functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on security, bootloaders, and software updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on requirements, specifications, designs, industry standards, and cybersecurity regulations.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation.
  • At least 3 years of experience programming in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an automotive engineering environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience with automotive communication protocols including CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, and DoIP.
  • At least 2 years of experience with diagnostic and network protocols including UDS, CAN, DoIP, and LIN.
  • At least 2 years of experience with OTA update mechanisms, secure firmware deployment, and rollback strategies.
  • At least 2 years of experience with low-level embedded software development, bootloader design, driver bring-up, and RTOS integration.
  • At least 2 years of experience using Vector CANoe, NXP Design Studio, Git, and JIRA.
  • Deep understanding of bootloader architectures, secure boot, and secure software updates.
