Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Varicent solution architecture across application models, integrations, calculation logic, workflows, reporting, security, scheduling, and environments.
  • Lead hands-on development of Varicent ICM calculations, tables, imports, exports, web forms, workflows, and reports.
  • Design and maintain source and ELT data feeds between Varicent, Snowflake, payroll systems, and reporting processes.
  • Oversee scheduler design and production processing, including monitoring system health, troubleshooting failures, and optimizing performance.
  • Establish development, documentation, testing, deployment, migration, and change-control standards.
  • Lead technical testing, release readiness, user acceptance testing support, production implementation, and stabilization.
  • Develop reports and outbound data products covering incentive results, adjustments, payroll outputs, and operational controls.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, design review, and escalation support to developers, analysts, administrators, and delivery partners.
  • Support financial audit, SOX, access governance, data retention, reconciliation, and segregation-of-duties requirements.
  • Collaborate with business, finance, sales operations, payroll, HR, data, security, and technology stakeholders to align solutions with business outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, or supporting enterprise incentive compensation management solutions.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Varicent development or solution architecture experience.
  • Expertise with Varicent ICM application design, calculation logic, tables, imports, exports, scheduler, workflows, web forms, reporting, security, and environment migration.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data integrations, dimensional data structures, reconciliation processes, and high-volume batch workflows.
  • Experience leading solution design, code reviews, technical testing, release planning, deployment, production support, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycle, source and change control, DevOps practices, access controls, segregation of duties, and audit or SOX controls.
  • Ability to translate complex compensation rules into accurate, scalable, auditable technical designs and communicate them to executive, business, audit, and engineering audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Up to 10% travel is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include Varicent certification or advanced training; experience with large, complex sales compensation organizations; and integrations with Snowflake, cloud data platforms, HR, CRM, payroll, identity management, or reporting systems.
  • Python, APIs, ETL/ELT tooling, CI/CD automation, metadata management, data quality monitoring, and observability experience are preferred.
