Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Kotlin microservices for high-traffic, high-availability systems.
- Implement service-to-service communication, orchestration, and fault-tolerance practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers on data pipelines, analytics platforms, and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure Growth data is accurate, reliable, and accessible.
- Partner with frontend, product, design, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into backend solutions.
- Participate in architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical strategy sessions.
- Develop services supporting A/B testing, feature toggles, and real-time performance monitoring.
- Improve backend functionality to reduce friction, increase engagement, and drive conversions.
- Apply secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability remediation to support regulatory compliance.
- Mentor peers, share knowledge, raise technical standards, and lead projects to successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering, or a related major.
- 5+ years of experience in modern engineering practices focused on continuous integration and quality engineering.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Deep experience with high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems.
- Cloud experience with GCP preferred, or AWS services including EC2, RDS, ELB, and CloudFront, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Preferred: Java or Kotlin development experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
- Preferred: experience solving go-to-market operations end to end.
- Preferred: knowledge of data warehousing, customer segmentation, and analytics tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with internal or customer-facing products using AI and LLMs.
- Strong collaboration, mentoring, ownership, prioritization, analytical, and continuous-learning abilities.
