Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, testing, and release of Salesforce platform improvements under the guidance of the Lead Salesforce Developer.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot Salesforce Flows, formulas, validation rules, object configuration, Lightning pages, and permission sets.
  • Assist with Apex development, triggers, SOQL queries, debugging, and code updates under supervision.
  • Perform data imports, updates, and data quality checks while following organizational data-handling standards.
  • Support QA, user acceptance testing, release preparation, technical documentation, and user-facing guidance.
  • Work with product and technology colleagues and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into Salesforce solutions.
  • Support maintenance and development of the Salesforce Experience Cloud site when required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree is required.
  • At least 2–4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Hands-on Salesforce administration or development experience gained through work, volunteering, study, Trailhead projects, certifications, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce Flows, formulas, validation rules, permission sets, object configuration, or Lightning page layouts is required.
  • Some experience with Apex or another programming language and willingness to continue developing Salesforce skills is required.
  • Basic SOQL and structured-data experience, including imports, exports, updates, and data quality checks, is required.
  • A careful, methodical approach to debugging, QA testing, and documentation is required.
  • Good communication skills, English fluency, and the ability to work with non-technical colleagues are required.
  • Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Experience Cloud, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, integrations, AppExchange packages, connected apps, REST APIs, GitHub, version control, Salesforce CLI, Gearset, deployment tools, Salesforce certifications, CRM data, permissions, data protection, or security-by-design experience.
  • Experience in charity, media, legal, responsible business, or international development sectors is preferred.
