Base Salary
$120k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Discover, validate, and analyze vulnerabilities across Microsoft products, cloud services, and strategic open-source ecosystems.
- Design and develop scalable automation, AI-driven systems, and research tooling for vulnerability discovery, triage, and remediation.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to improve security posture and reduce customer risk.
- Lead or contribute to offensive security assessments covering emerging threats, novel attack techniques, and systemic weaknesses.
- Publish technical findings and influence open-source projects or large-scale software systems.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or a related field; or a master’s degree in one of these areas plus 3+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in one of these areas plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred experience includes vulnerability research, vulnerability discovery, exploit development, reverse engineering, offensive security research, publicly disclosed CVEs or security advisories, and recognized security competitions or research programs.
- Preferred experience pathways include a doctorate plus 3+ years, a master’s degree plus 6+ years, or a bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
