Base Salary

$80k - $105k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug C++ and Python software for ground and flight applications supporting space missions.
  • Build modular, maintainable, and testable software.
  • Run unit and regression tests and address issues in new and modified code.
  • Break down moderately complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with teammates and internal stakeholders while communicating risks to estimates or deliverables.
  • Take ownership of assigned work, seek feedback, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Experience with or ability to write and debug C++ and Python code.
  • Basic understanding of software engineering concepts and familiarity with unit and regression testing.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to break down moderately complex problems.
  • Clear communication skills, reliability, ownership, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Passion for space exploration and willingness to learn industry-specific tools, libraries, operating systems, and software engineering practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include aerospace or space industry experience, ground or flight software development, additional software development languages or tools, mission-critical software experience, and collaborative engineering experience.
