Base Salary
$106k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, modify, test, debug, and improve embedded flight software for satellite and payload systems.
- Analyze and translate customer requirements and produce software design, test, and program documentation.
- Build and integrate software with specialized hardware and support real-time embedded systems development.
- Conduct software safety, assurance, quality, Cyber Vulnerability Analysis, and cyber monitoring activities.
- Develop custom tools and automation to support configuration management and improve development workflows.
- At senior levels, lead technical design, testing, hardware/software integration, project execution, software project management, and internal and supplier team performance.
- Interface with software, hardware, systems engineering, product security, testbed engineering, and other technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Ability to obtain a post-start Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of related experience for Level 3/Experienced roles or 9 or more years for Level 4/Senior roles.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development lifecycle through Formal Qualification and embedded real-time software development.
- Preferred: experience with GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, Wireshark, network analysis tools, debuggers, and DevOps tool chains for automated builds and testing.
- Candidates must complete a technical CodeVue assessment as part of the selection process.
