Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate autonomous agent systems end-to-end.
- Architect agent memory, multi-agent orchestration, reasoning, planning, tool use, and long-running workflows.
- Develop full-stack agentic applications across server-side and client-side surfaces using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React.
- Build RAG pipelines and integrate vector databases, tools, and LLM capabilities.
- Implement agent safety guardrails, including prompt-injection defenses and output schema enforcement.
- Apply observability to distributed AI-driven systems and support safe production deployment.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and platform teams to deliver AI capabilities for Apple developer tools.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on AI/ML systems, LLM integrations, or autonomous agent development.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-agent orchestration systems and agent loop patterns such as ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, context-window management, function calling, structured outputs, and tool use.
- Experience building RAG pipelines and working with vector databases.
- Experience implementing agent safety guardrails, including prompt-injection defenses and output schema enforcement.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or equivalent observability tooling for distributed AI systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include MCP server/client experience, model routing and fallback strategies, Project Reactor or WebFlux, Python, cloud AI platforms, agent sandboxing, safe code execution, fine-tuning, LoRA, and small-model distillation.
