Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle for GenAI and automation initiatives from discovery and feasibility assessment through prototype, pilot, production handover, and operational support.
- Analyze banking, KYC, compliance, risk, servicing, and reporting workflows to identify and deliver high-impact automation opportunities.
- Design and build LLM-powered workflows, RAG solutions, agents, prompt chains, tool-calling patterns, and human-in-the-loop review mechanisms.
- Develop prototypes and MVPs using enterprise AI platforms including Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, and Azure OpenAI.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems, APIs, workflow platforms, data repositories, document management systems, and banking data environments.
- Establish coding, testing, documentation, version-control, evaluation, deployment, and observability practices for AI-enabled solutions.
- Implement controls for data privacy, PII handling, hallucination control, bias mitigation, explainability, auditability, cost management, and regulatory compliance.
- Define evaluation datasets, success metrics, regression tests, prompt scorecards, failure-mode analysis, and quality thresholds.
- Collaborate with business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, information security, architecture, and data teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and analysts in prompt engineering, API development, AI implementation, secure coding, and banking-domain solution design.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of software engineering, AI engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, or automation delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering GenAI, LLM, NLP, machine learning, or intelligent automation solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong Python programming skills; experience with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript is advantageous.
- Experience with enterprise LLM platforms such as Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs, SDKs, backend services, microservices, and event-driven or workflow-based architectures.
- Understanding of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, tool calling, agent orchestration, and LLM evaluation methods.
- Ability to design secure, scalable, auditable, and maintainable solutions for regulated banking or financial-services environments.
- Working knowledge of automated testing, source control, deployment automation, monitoring, incident management, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, PII protection, encryption, access control, audit logging, and model risk considerations.
- Preferred experience in banking, capital markets, lending, payments, compliance, KYC, AML, risk, or regulatory reporting.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Lang Chain, Llama Index, Semantic Kernel, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, and production support.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, influence senior stakeholders, mentor junior resources, and take accountability for solution quality and delivery outcomes.
