Base Salary

$171k - $274k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization of deep learning networks running on autonomous vehicles.
  • Optimize software architecture, system performance, latency, GPU memory usage, and throughput for deep learning applications.
  • Deploy deep learning models onboard autonomous vehicles and support training workloads in large-scale data centers.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using profiling and roofline-model techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and cross-functional teams to improve self-driving technology efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in CUDA, C++, and Python.
  • Extensive experience with high-performance computing, parallel programming, and optimization of GPU workloads.
  • Proficiency with NVIDIA Nsight Systems, NVIDIA Nsight Compute, and roofline-model performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing deep learning or machine learning workloads at the framework level using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong understanding of computer vision, transformer-based deep learning architectures, and foundational neural network building blocks.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing performance bottlenecks in complex systems.
  • Experience working with large code bases in a fast-growing environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and tools.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfort working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Desirable: experience with motion planning, robotics, autonomous systems, systems software, or computer vision.
  • Desirable: experience with TensorRT, OpenAI Triton, Mojo, or other inference acceleration tools.
