Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain methodologies for managing cybersecurity technologies.
- Lead the installation, decommissioning, and maintenance of security applications and tools.
- Provide support through an assigned rotational 24/7 coverage schedule.
- Test security technologies and make recommendations for their configuration.
- Design and implement performance monitoring for security tools to support system compliance.
- Provide technical direction on IT security standards for infrastructure configuration.
- Create processes, metrics, and reporting for security technologies and applications.
- Coordinate cybersecurity technology remediation efforts with multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to members of the security team.
Requirements
- Require 6+ years of experience as a network and/or security engineer in a corporate environment.
- Require technical knowledge of cloud, Windows and UNIX-based servers, workstations, EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanning, proxy, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Require analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Require excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Require proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: CISSP, CISA, or GIAC certifications such as GSEC or GCIA.
