Base Salary

$114k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop kernel-mode software for Windows and Linux using C, C++, and Assembly.
  • Perform reverse engineering of x86, x64, MIPS, PPC, and ARM systems and compiled binaries.
  • Conduct vulnerability analysis and vulnerability research across operating systems and networked systems.
  • Develop communications and network software using C/C++ and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Work on embedded programming, infrastructure engineering, command-and-control software, web applications, and network applications.
  • Use debugging, system analysis, emulation, virtualization, source control, and CI/CD tools as part of software development.
  • Lead teams of 2–8 engineers as a technical lead.

Requirements

  • Principal level requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of programming experience, or a master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 3 years of experience.
  • Senior Principal level requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 8 years of programming experience, or a master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 6 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated C/C++ programming experience is required.
  • Experience with debugging or system analysis tools such as Wireshark, IDA Pro, OllyDebug, WinDBG, and JTAG debuggers is required.
  • Technical leadership experience leading teams of 2–8 engineers is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include an active TS/SCI clearance, an advanced degree, kernel-mode or embedded development, Assembly, vulnerability research, emulation, reverse engineering, operating-system internals, virtual machines, lower-level networking, shellcode, ROP, secure programming, modern source control, CI/CD workflows, and Agile experience.

  • The position offers an optional 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off for employees working nine-hour days Monday through Thursday.
