Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-ready frontend and backend components for aviation-focused web applications.
- Implement business logic for aeronautical and aircraft operational calculations in software services.
- Build prototypes, APIs, data flows, scalable microservices, API gateways, and responsive dashboards.
- Integrate simulation models, databases, aviation data feeds, legacy systems, and enterprise platforms.
- Participate in product lifecycle activities including analysis, design, coding, testing, integration, deployment, operation, and support.
- Configure deployment pipelines, troubleshoot live applications, perform tier-2 operational support, and investigate platform issues.
- Define test strategies, scripts, and scenarios while monitoring test execution and resolving defects.
- Collaborate with product managers, lead developers, business teams, and customers on requirements, discovery, feasibility, and solution architecture.
- Ensure solutions align with cloud architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, scalability, availability, and maintainability standards.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to product roadmap improvements, delivery value, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 5–7 years of software development experience, particularly delivering specialized applications from discovery and design through prototyping and industrialization.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with aviation data and digital applications in airline operations, aerospace, or related simulation platforms.
- Hands-on ReactJS and Redux experience for frontend UI component development.
- Experience with Python, including application prototyping, and Java development with strong Spring Framework experience.
- Experience developing multithreaded, high-performance Java applications and designing for memory management and scalability.
- Experience with APIs, RESTful and SOAP web services, AWS Cloud, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support.
- Strong experience with Git and familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Knowledge of at least one of MySQL, Maven, Spring Framework, Jenkins, or JIRA.
- Ability to analyze business issues, interact directly with business teams, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
- Preferred experience with client discovery workshops, aerospace or aviation digital product development, aerospace data integration, and AI coding assistants or modern productivity tools.
- Ability to travel for business in Europe.
