Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate CI/CD, internal developer platform, source control, and build, test, release, and deployment infrastructure.
- Own platform reliability, health, on-call operations, and root-cause resolution for systems used by every engineering team.
- Extend developer tooling and compliance guardrails for engineers, PMs, designers, and other Builders using AI agents.
- Build AI-aware platform capabilities and define standards for evaluating and validating AI-assisted and AI-generated contributions.
- Lead technical design reviews and planning, break large initiatives into parallel workstreams, and incorporate AI into estimation and capacity planning.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Compliance on security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and quality.
- Mentor engineers, participate in hiring and interviews, and raise the technical bar for Builder platform work.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2–3 years focused on developer tools, build and release systems, or cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Advanced expertise in Go, Python, or TypeScript and hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, source-control platform administration, or internal developer and deployment platforms.
- Experience leading technical design reviews and decomposing large, ambiguous company-wide initiatives into parallel workstreams.
- Experience partnering with Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to deliver infrastructure meeting strict regulatory requirements, ideally in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated impact from developer-platform, builder-platform, or infrastructure work that improved productivity, reliability, or velocity across teams or the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
