Responsibilities

  • Develop firmware components for Rockwell Automation industrial devices under senior engineer guidance.
  • Implement assigned firmware features and debug or resolve well-defined firmware defects.
  • Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD-driven quality workflows.
  • Support requirements analysis through research, information gathering, and documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow embedded coding standards.
  • Collaborate with global teams and participate in Agile and SAFe development activities.

Requirements

  • Currently be in the final year of, or have completed, a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or a related IT field, or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Have typically 0+ years of practical software development experience in C++ and 0+ years of embedded firmware development and debugging experience.
  • Have basic knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet, embedded systems architecture, or operating system concepts including RTOS and Linux.
  • Have practical experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
  • Be fluent in English at B2 level or higher.
  • Preferred qualifications include Python experience, industrial automation experience, embedded security or safety standards knowledge, industrial network protocols, real-time systems, Agile or SAFe development, and hardware-software interaction concepts such as registers, interrupts, memory management, and BSP/HAL.
