Base Salary
$87k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train, fine-tune, and evaluate YOLO object-detection models using proprietary datasets.
- Process, clean, format, and ingest production video into training datasets.
- Manage image and video annotation, verify annotation quality, and generate synthetic data when needed.
- Develop Python inference pipelines that process video frames and export structured JSON or Protobuf predictions.
- Generate performance reports, confusion matrices, and precision-recall curves to improve model detection capabilities.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, video engineering, and development teams to deliver production-ready code in Agile/Scrum sprints.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a CBP background investigation are required.
- A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Three to five years of software engineering or data science experience and at least two years of hands-on computer vision model development experience are required.
- Must be available to work a hybrid schedule in Ashburn, Virginia.
- Experience with Python, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, YOLO, OpenCV or FFmpeg, data annotation platforms, and Git is required.
- Strong analytical skills and experience benchmarking model performance using metrics such as mAP, FPS, and inference latency are required.
- Preferred qualifications include Docker, GPU execution environments, ONNX, TensorRT, multi-object tracking libraries, Jira, and Confluence experience.
