Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-quality C++ applications using STL and medium-to-complex business logic.
- Develop and integrate VC++ applications to onboard new content onto LSEG products.
- Perform analysis, feasibility checks, coding, automated unit testing, deployment, debugging, and maintenance.
- Support customer queries, operations teams, and other development teams by resolving application and content issues.
- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure review feedback is addressed before production deployment.
- Handle critical production issues, guide junior developers, and help restore services with minimal manual effort.
- Participate in brainstorming, sprint planning, status meetings, and collaboration with senior engineers.
- Maintain user documentation and perform post-change testing for infrastructure changes such as server upgrades.
Requirements
- Strong C++ programming skills and experience debugging C++ applications on Windows.
- Experience developing software in Windows or Linux environments, preferably on Windows.
- Understanding of Java programming.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, support clients, and resolve issues within communicated timelines.
- Awareness of client centricity and the importance of customer impact.
- Financial-domain knowledge is beneficial but not required.
