Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics.
- Design and operate data flows across document, relational, graph, and big-data storage systems.
- Optimize SQL queries, map/reduce strategies, queue processing, and other data-flow components.
- Monitor diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, system health, and performance.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across microservice communication and storage layers.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for Azure resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain secure automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams on system roadmaps and security and privacy compliance.
- Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineering peers and drive innovation in AI-assisted automation, context-aware security, and data-driven decisioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of backend development experience in Python, C#, or another similar language.
- Experience working in microservice environments with Python, C#, and other appropriate languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
- Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and transactional consistency in distributed environments.
- Expertise using Terraform for Azure Cloud Infrastructure as Code.
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol or similar AI frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and privileged access control.
- Preferred experience with database performance tuning, replication, high availability, event-driven architectures, service meshes, API gateways, Datadog, Grafana, Zero Trust architectures, secure software lifecycles, AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, data, and large-scale data-processing skills.
