Base Salary
$145k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build a scalable, efficient, and robust robotaxi dispatch service.
- Develop real-time dispatch optimization and route-planning algorithms using linear programming, integer programming, stochastic processes, and queuing theory.
- Apply operational research to data analysis, demand forecasting, and transport-network modeling.
- Integrate optimization algorithms into the robotaxi platform.
- Build and use internal or third-party simulation models to evaluate dispatch optimization algorithms.
- Support fleet-management services that coordinate rideshare, charging, cleaning, depot-return, R&D, and roaming missions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or a related field.
- Proven algorithm-development experience with a strong emphasis on operational research methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Java or Kotlin, or C++.
- Background in machine learning, AI, operational research, and data analysis.
- Strong mathematics, problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Bonus experience with GIS and mapping software, transportation, logistics, autonomous vehicles, or fleet simulation tools.
- Bonus experience handling large datasets, horizontally scaling services, developing cloud services, and designing for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Knowledge of microservice design patterns, database access, and software development lifecycle practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
