Responsibilities
- Develop and operate backend services and key products in the Inventory domain.
- Contribute to projects that influence how inventory is managed at Zalando.
- Collaborate on product strategy, roadmaps, and backlogs aligned with business objectives.
- Engage stakeholders to understand business context and develop scalable solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle from discovery to execution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on inventory capabilities and third-party logistics integrations.
- Define team processes and promote an inclusive, diverse team environment.
- Maintain and operate complex systems at scale using monitoring and alerting best practices.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in a Java-based language, such as Kotlin, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of PHP is a plus but not required.
- Experience using AI coding tools is expected.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity and innovation in improving the accuracy and efficiency of simulations.
