Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and implementation of Guidewire solutions across multiple products and domains.
- Lead complex solution design decisions and maximize out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities while governing justified customizations.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads or workstreams, including design, code, and configuration reviews.
- Set engineering standards, patterns, and best practices and support estimation, planning, and delivery sequencing.
- Own integration architecture and ensure performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, and production readiness.
- Guide teams on cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and observability practices.
- Lead root-cause analysis for severe or recurring incidents and drive permanent fixes.
- Improve defect leakage, repeat incidents, change-related failures, and overall platform stability.
- Collaborate with architects, Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, business stakeholders, ADM, QE, and SRE teams.
- Mentor intermediate and junior Guidewire developers and reduce key-person dependency.
- Drive reusable components, accelerators, blueprints, standardization, and simplification.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of Guidewire development experience.
- Strong expertise across multiple Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Jutro.
- Strong experience with complex integrations and distributed systems.
- Proven experience managing technical delivery across multiple teams or modules.
- Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance processes and regulatory context.
- Experience owning production stability and operational outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Guidewire Cloud Platform delivery and operations experience is preferred.
- Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and observability tools is preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale Guidewire programs or multinational implementations is preferred.
- Experience in regulated, multi-business-unit enterprise environments is preferred.
- Prior contribution to platform standards or architecture forums is preferred.
