Base Salary

$170k - $255k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Linux Kernel features involving KVM virtualization, scheduling, memory management, and IOMMU.
  • Optimize power and performance management technologies such as DVFS for ARM-based systems.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver scalable, high-performance software.
  • Debug complex software issues using JTAG debuggers and contribute to Linux Kernel and other open-source projects.
  • Drive system software improvements for ARMv8 and ARMv9 platforms, including FPGA- and QEMU-based pre-silicon development.
  • Analyze requirements, propose system architectures, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Lead security feature development, security assessments, vulnerability and risk remediation, threat analysis, security code reviews, and product security incident response.
  • Supervise direct reports and influence significant technical and organizational decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years, master’s degree and 5+ years, or PhD and 4+ years of software engineering or related work experience.
  • At least 3 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong Linux Kernel development experience, especially with virtualization, KVM, schedulers, memory management, and device trees.
  • Knowledge of ARMv8 and ARMv9 architecture, computer system architecture, board and SoC bring-up, device drivers, SPI, I2C, USB, and DDR memory controllers.
  • Experience with Git or similar SCM tools, JTAG debugging, ARM-based platforms, and software performance-management tools.
  • Prior open-source contributions, preferably to the Linux Kernel.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded-systems software development methodologies.
  • Master’s degree and additional software development experience are preferred.
