Base Salary
$275k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and integrate critical components for Stat-Arb, low-latency, and high-touch trading platforms.
- Spend approximately 80% of the time on hands-on software engineering and 20% mentoring and coordinating staff.
- Collaborate with the Systematic COO and Business Analysts on architecture and implementation.
- Provide technical thought leadership within the team and across the front office.
- Provide Level 3 support for global operations.
- Lead and mentor small, highly technical development teams.
Requirements
- At least ten years of C++ development experience in a Linux-based environment.
- Expertise designing C++ systems for microsecond latency, including cache-conscious data structures, lock-free concurrency, and the C++ memory model.
- Experience with systems-level latency engineering, including kernel bypass, core isolation, NUMA-aware thread and memory placement, and keeping syscalls off the critical path.
- Experience building electronic trading systems, market data systems, or crossing engines, including exchange-native protocols and feed handlers.
- Experience delivering software in co-located execution environments.
- Exceptional architecture and software design skills.
- Proficiency with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and build automation.
- Experience with Agile Development frameworks and Site Reliability Engineering methodology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, adaptability, leadership, and collaboration skills.
