Responsibilities
- Scope Anti-Financial Crime sanctions-screening problems and define technical strategy.
- Set technical direction, write comprehensive design documents, and lead design reviews for complex multi-quarter features.
- Improve system stability, production health, scalability, and long-term platform capabilities.
- Partner with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Payments Compliance Operations, Export Legal, and Platform teams to resolve dependencies and align timelines.
- Guide, mentor, and delegate work to junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience contributing to software design and architecture, including production rollouts and complex systems.
- Familiarity with payments and compliance.
- Exposure to Google’s big-data infrastructure, including Flume and Storage, and experimentation infrastructure, including Rasta and Mendel.
