Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support embedded software application development using Rust.
- Lead Rust adoption and deployment across multiple product lines, including associated techniques, idioms, design patterns, and tooling.
- Manage or support the integration and conversion of legacy software to Rust and provide architectural and implementation guidance.
- Translate requirements into maintainable software solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
- Develop software for target hardware and evaluate hardware-software interfaces and operational performance requirements.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, formal testing, peer reviews, and defect repair.
- Investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experiments, prototype, and evaluate results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience; alternatively, a graduate degree with at least four years of related experience or at least ten years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of experience developing production Rust software with deep knowledge of Rust.
- Experience with C/C++ development.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred: experience converting C/C++ code to Rust and developing Rust or other software for embedded systems.
- Preferred: object-oriented design and implementation experience and exposure to UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo.
- Preferred: experience developing device drivers and board support packages for real-time embedded systems.
- Preferred: Information Assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, or software certification such as DO-178.
