
Staff Engineer - Bluetooth Audio
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Integrate Bluetooth stack solutions into embedded automotive platforms.
- Customize and optimize Bluetooth protocols and profiles for automotive environments.
- Develop and maintain production-ready software using C, C++, and Java.
- Collaborate on Bluetooth integration with Android and other operating systems.
- Own Fluoride stack activities and drive technical solutions.
- Develop testing frameworks and methodologies for Bluetooth stack testing.
- Contribute to Bluetooth SIG working groups and track Bluetooth standards.
- Mentor team members and lead technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Bluetooth connectivity, including protocols, profiles, and core specifications.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Java.
- Familiarity with Android versions and Bluetooth integration.
- Understanding of Bluetooth tools such as Bluetooth sniffers.
- Experience or knowledge of Android HAL and lower layers is a bonus.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate in a multi-site environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening.
