Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise compute resources.
- Deploy and manage databases, monitoring systems, distributed storage, and other core infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software engineers to create scalable, operable, and maintainable products.
- Manage services throughout their lifecycle from design and deployment through operation and refinement.
- Create tools and processes that improve development and deployment speed, accuracy, and usability.
- Provide software validation across virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit test platforms.
- Support monitoring, data analysis, continuous integration, and release systems.
- Create and manage software libraries, troubleshoot across the Starlink stack, and improve developer velocity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or engineering plus 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, site reliability engineering, or DevOps, or 7+ years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure tools; Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies; and Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Development experience in Python, C++, or C.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years with Python and Python-based development frameworks, virtualization and hypervisors, Linux boot and systems configuration, testing, continuous integration, build and deployment, continuous monitoring, and large-scale server management.
- Preferred knowledge includes Bazel or other build systems, performance optimization, databases and data modeling, TCP/IP networking, and strong communication skills.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
