Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architecture migration strategy for the Signavio data platform.
- Evaluate architectural and tooling trade-offs and align migration solutions with technical and business requirements.
- Build and validate Proofs of Concept to assess migration feasibility and scalability.
- Develop robust, scalable, cloud-native architectures on SAP BTP and take ownership of the resulting platform and cluster.
- Own SQL processing workloads, pipeline orchestration components, data transformation pipelines, and unified execution logging.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Principal Architects, Lead Engineers, and cross-functional teams on long-term technical strategy.
- Mentor team members, share best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Java 11 or later and/or Kotlin.
- Experience building secure cloud enterprise applications, including SaaS products.
- Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience with Spark or similar technologies for large-scale data migration and processing.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, and experience with Databricks and Iceberg.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data transformation pipelines.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP services and cloud-native application design.
- Experience with test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data processing and basic understanding of process mining or process analysis.
- Experience mentoring team members and providing feedback.
- Interest in AI-driven development, including prompt design, context handling, and AI-assisted coding, debugging, and testing workflows.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and understand customer needs.
