Responsibilities
- Identify and implement improvements through automation and process improvements.
- Develop program specifications and logic flow charts for coding and documenting system software programs.
- Design system enhancements and facilitate the installation and integration of new systems.
- Provide technical solutions to difficult and complex problems using ingenuity and creativity.
- Organize and present formal technical reviews.
- Write and edit Methods documents, including manuals and technical bulletins covering software applications, processes, and procedures.
- Act as a systems focal point and lead teams through data modeling.
- Develop complex database applications supporting multiple business units across the Learjet site.
- Keep customers and management informed of program progress and critical issues.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience in software development, programming, or database implementation.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and practices.
- Thorough knowledge of Oracle APEX, Java, C++, and Dreamweaver or an equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills.
