Responsibilities
- Architect and own end-to-end delivery of DeFi products from React/Next.js frontends through GraphQL/REST APIs and blockchain data indexers.
- Design the API and SDK strategy for hundreds of integrators, including versioning, developer experience standards, and real-time streaming systems.
- Build and optimize high-performance data systems processing millions of on-chain events across 15+ blockchains.
- Lead technical architecture reviews and establish coding standards for product engineering teams.
- Own observability and incident response using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Sentry.
- Lead major product initiatives from scoping through production and drive improvements to API p95 latency.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience building full-stack applications at scale with demonstrated business impact.
- Experience architecting high-availability systems handling millions of requests daily.
- Deep TypeScript expertise across client and server, including React/Next.js, GraphQL with Apollo Server, Node.js, and viem.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining on-chain data indexers such as Ponder or Subsquid, with working knowledge of EVM event structures.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Strong ownership, written communication, technical decision-making, and team development skills.
