Base Salary
$100k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable full-stack features across frontend interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
- Develop React applications with strong attention to component architecture, state management, performance, UI, and UX.
- Build and maintain production Node.js and TypeScript APIs and services.
- Own work from sprint planning and ticket refinement through implementation, peer review, and demos.
- Evaluate technical tradeoffs and consider business value and client impact.
- Use AI coding tools for coding, debugging, and research, and help identify valuable AI-powered product capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver useful product features.
- Participate in constructive code reviews and share technical knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development on production systems.
- Strong React experience, including component architecture, state management, and performance.
- Backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including production APIs and services.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL on both sides of the wire.
- Production experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar tools.
- Comfort working in AWS or a comparable cloud environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include AI-powered product development, mobile development, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation experience, and familiarity with nonprofit or social-impact technology.
