Responsibilities
- Solve complex technical problems in Rover’s web and React Native clients.
- Build and maintain cross-platform frontend code and reusable frontend libraries.
- Set and evangelize technical standards across Rover.
- Help define the Client Platform technical roadmap and vision.
- Represent Client Platform in broader forums and collect feedback for roadmap planning.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and support Barcelona engineering teams.
- Contribute to AI-based development workflows, migrations, and codebase-context practices.
- Maintain rigorous automated testing, code quality, observability, monitoring, and logging practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expertise with JavaScript frameworks, especially React, and component-driven design.
- Experience with React Native development.
- Expertise in multiple parts of Rover’s technology stack.
- Experience building reusable frontend libraries.
- Experience handling large-scale technology upgrades across broad codebases.
- Experience defining technical standards and coaching junior developers.
- Commitment to automated testing, code quality, observability, monitoring, and logging.
- Alignment with Rover’s core values.
