Responsibilities
- Design and implement autonomous analytical data systems for optimal performance.
- Develop storage lifecycle optimizations and background processes for Predictive Optimization.
- Create efficient storage structures for machine learning applications.
- Influence data format and catalog interface unification for Managed Tables.
- Debug and optimize performance on large production clusters.
- Lead complex technical projects across multiple teams.
- Mentor and develop engineers within the team.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong passion for database, storage, and distributed systems.
- Experience in working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivated by delivering customer value and impact.
- Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in driving company initiatives for customer satisfaction.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
