Responsibilities
- Assist with feasibility studies and junior-level systems analysis and design.
- Design and develop front-end and back-end components and services for new and existing applications.
- Integrate internal systems with external applications and services.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document applications according to development standards.
- Work with users and senior management to determine system requirements and ensure designs meet operational needs.
- Apply iterative development techniques and participate in code reviews and project status meetings.
- Assist project leaders and other staff with detailed system design and coding projects.
- Maintain compliance, safety, environmental, and workplace standards.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or community college diploma in Computer Studies, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent qualification.
- Enrollment in a recognized post-secondary co-op program.
- Moderate application experience and knowledge of several modern programming languages and schema design concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one modern database management system.
- Understanding of operating systems, networking, version control, and source code management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and communicate with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong user orientation and customer focus.
- Ability to work in various locations within and outside the manufacturing plant, lift up to 20 kg, and occasionally work outside normal office hours.
