Responsibilities
- Serve as the recognized technical authority for the Label Traxx ERP platform and integration ecosystem.
- Own the AWS architecture for Cloud API, Batched, Siteline, Data Warehouse, and Supplier integrations.
- Drive modernization of the legacy 4D-based platform through AWS-native services.
- Define PostgreSQL data architecture, modeling, performance, and schema standards.
- Guide React frontend architecture and frontend/backend integration decisions.
- Establish organization-wide standards for secure engineering, scalability, CI/CD, observability, and AI-assisted development.
- Improve engineering productivity, reliability, and delivery outcomes across integration teams.
- Coach senior and staff-level engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
- Communicate architecture direction, trade-offs, and risks to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Evaluate AWS compute, storage, networking, observability, reliability, and cost-efficiency investments.
- Guide incident response and root-cause analysis for complex production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant technical leadership, architecture, or principal engineering experience.
- Deep hands-on AWS expertise across production services such as ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/SAM.
- Experience architecting complex, integration-heavy enterprise platforms involving APIs, batch processes, data warehousing, or supplier/EDI-style integrations.
- Strong PostgreSQL expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and schema design for high-transaction systems.
- Experience with React and modern frontend architecture.
- Strong C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core experience, enterprise API design, and modernization of legacy or monolithic systems.
- Experience defining engineering standards, secure engineering practices, and CI/CD strategy across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction beyond one team.
- Excellent communication skills for aligning technical and executive stakeholders.
- Experience guiding adoption of AI-assisted development tools and practices is a plus.
