Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Communicate technical problems and solutions clearly in writing and verbally, including documenting work and prompting approved AI-assisted development tools.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to understand problems, exchange feedback, and deliver reliable solutions.
- Use approved AI development tools for code generation, refactoring, test creation, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
- Apply automation and modern tooling throughout the software development life cycle to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute technology solutions to social impact initiatives such as Force for Good.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or a fourth-year Master’s degree with expected graduation between January 2027 and September 2027, and be available to start full-time in September 2027.
- Study Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, or a related field.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Have experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting software solutions as part of an engineering team.
- Demonstrate proficiency writing secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language using established standards and best practices.
- Apply automation and modern tooling to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the software development life cycle.
- Use and critically evaluate approved AI development tools while maintaining accountability for solution quality, correctness, and security.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and effective collaboration skills.
- Preferred candidates will show foundational software engineering knowledge through coursework, projects, or internships and experience addressing open-ended problems.
- Preferred candidates will demonstrate curiosity about emerging technologies, sound judgment in applying them, and an interest in delivering technology with real-world impact.
