Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based AI platform services, gateways, routing, caching, shared RAG components, and prompt and skills management.
- Provide AI FinOps capabilities including quotas, usage metering, budgeting, cost controls, and policy enforcement.
- Define and maintain platform standards across frameworks, SDKs, Spec Kits, and MCP interfaces.
- Curate AI tools and manage their lifecycles from sandbox evaluation through standardization or retirement.
- Implement observability, metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, cost and performance instrumentation, and incident response processes.
- Optimize scalability, reliability, capacity, release automation, risk recovery, and cost across regions and environments.
- Partner with AI Gateway and governance owners, hyperscalers, and AI frontier labs on regulated-industry features, terms of service, and roadmaps.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and operating AI or developer platforms at production scale, ideally in regulated or large-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience shipping platform capabilities used by multiple teams.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, MLOps/LLMOps stacks, vector databases or embedding stores, routing and caching layers, and identity or risk management.
- Strong software engineering skills in languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and with reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency practices.
- Experience implementing platform-level governance, compliance, safety guardrails, and AI FinOps.
- Strong vendor evaluation, partnership, collaboration, and pragmatic product decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English.
