Responsibilities
- Rotate across four to six software teams, with rotations typically lasting six months and one rotation lasting one year.
- Develop production embedded software in C and tooling in Lua and JavaScript.
- Participate in scoping work, identifying requirements, creating and refining designs, implementing fully unit-tested code, bench testing, and supporting Software Quality Assurance.
- Work on debuggable development platforms and Internet of Things functionality for connected appliances.
- Complete GE Appliances-specific technical coursework and participate in targeted training and software team activities.
- Mentor software co-ops as a buddy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering degree.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred qualifications include a passion for software, willingness to learn, analytical skills, strong work ethic, communication and interpersonal skills, related coursework, and at least two completed co-op rotations or internships.
