Responsibilities
- Partner directly with traders and risk-desk users to gather requirements for RAD tools.
- Design and implement pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions from risk reports to trading workflow, risk, and scenario systems.
- Build reusable C# library functions and Excel-based front ends backed by Mongo and SQL Server.
- Deliver solutions through the full software development lifecycle, from design through release.
- Balance rapid BAU changes with longer-term strategic development and follow software development best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working in finance and technology, ideally in front-office development.
- Proficiency in C#, Excel, VBA, and SQL.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial instruments such as fixed income or derivatives.
- Ability to understand object-oriented programming and build reusable library functions.
- Ability to work directly with senior trading and risk-desk business users and independently deliver technical solutions.
- Familiarity with Python and broader financial knowledge of FX, commodities, or equities are advantageous.
