Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trading desk, risk, workflow, scenario, and reporting tools for front-office users.
- Gather requirements from traders and risk-desk users and design pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Implement solutions through release while balancing rapid BAU changes with longer-term strategic development.
- Create reusable library functions within the code quant library framework.
- Evaluate, understand, vet, and own code generated through AI providers.
- Apply software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working in finance and technology.
- Ideally, experience in front-office development.
- Experience delivering tools through an AI provider.
- Proficiency with C#, Excel, VBA, and SQL.
- Knowledge of financial instruments such as fixed income or derivatives.
- Ability to work with senior business users, gather requirements, and deliver technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, reusable library design, and the full software development lifecycle.
