Responsibilities
- Own platform security workstreams end to end, from scoping and architecture through progressive rollout, exception handling, enforcement, and full coverage.
- Harden AWS and other cloud infrastructure through IAM controls, access reviews, secrets management, network and Kubernetes guardrails, and supply-chain controls.
- Ship infrastructure and security changes as Terraform through reviewed GitHub pull requests, keeping changes reversible and documented.
- Drive remediation with platform and engineering teams and automate recurring findings instead of handling them as tickets.
- Lead platform-perimeter incident investigations and improve detection rules and response playbooks in Elastic SIEM.
- Document technical proposals, drive adoption across engineering teams, and collaborate through code review and pairing.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in security engineering, security operations, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering, including production exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure; internships and apprenticeships count.
- Hands-on experience writing and shipping Terraform through reviewed GitHub pull requests and operating and debugging Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience carrying at least one project through production and continued adoption after deployment.
- Solid fundamentals in Linux, networking, cloud, Kubernetes, and development or scripting, with strong written communication skills.
- Fluency in English; French speaking or willingness to learn is a strong plus.
- Experience with a SIEM such as Elastic or Splunk, detection engineering, incident response, threat hunting, CTFs, public technical write-ups, open-source contributions, home labs, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Regular use of AI coding assistants such as Claude is expected.
