$230k - $490k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems to manage cloud and bare-metal fleets at scale.
- Develop tools connecting low-level hardware metrics with job scheduling and cluster management algorithms.
- Use LLMs to coordinate vendor operations and optimize infrastructure workflows.
- Automate infrastructure processes to reduce repetitive toil and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware, infrastructure, and research teams to integrate systems across the stack.
- Continuously improve tools, automation, processes, and documentation for operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills and experience in large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Broad knowledge of cluster-level systems, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and cloud providers.
- Deep expertise in server-level systems, including systems software, containerization, Chef, Linux kernels, firmware management, and host routing.
- Interest in optimizing the performance and reliability of large compute fleets.
- Ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges in dynamic environments.
- Commitment to automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
