Base Salary
$115k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support configuration, tuning, and health checks for security tooling across cloud and endpoint environments.
- Write and maintain Python scripts and small integrations for API data retrieval, recurring reports, finding cleanup, and tool connectivity.
- Use Splunk and other log or telemetry platforms to run queries, validate data sources, and assist with investigating and documenting findings.
- Participate in security design and configuration reviews and maintain standards, diagrams, and runbooks.
- Work from the Santa Clara, CA office except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of operating systems, especially Linux, TCP/IP networking, authentication, encryption, and least privilege.
- Hands-on exposure through coursework, internships, labs, CTFs, personal projects, or open source contributions involving command-line work, code modification, and a public cloud environment.
- Ability to read and write basic Python or a similar language, with interest in developing production-quality automation.
- Methodical technical troubleshooting, curiosity, receptiveness to feedback, and ability to document technical processes clearly.
- No prior professional security experience is required.
