- Work on the storage platform supporting B2 Object Storage and Computer Backup.
- Reliably store customer data while improving system durability and throughput.
- Drive architectural changes to support the long-term requirements of the service.
- Participate in software design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
Requirements
- 7+ years of object-oriented programming experience in an enterprise environment, excluding personal projects.
- Experience building large-scale software systems running on thousands of servers.
- Comfort with the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to work through ambiguous problems are expected.
- Proficiency in Java or Rust is a bonus.
- Experience building and interpreting models, dashboards, or reports is a bonus.
- Familiarity with hard drive performance is a bonus.
- Understanding of Linux internals and file systems is a bonus.
