Responsibilities
- Implement and productionize quantitative, statistical, and mathematical models using Python.
- Engineer and maintain scalable production solutions for the Financial Risk Management department.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python, Snowflake, and relational databases.
- Translate analytical, statistical, and theoretical models into clean, maintainable Python code.
- Own solutions end to end through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts, risk partners, and global stakeholders.
- Provide issue-based L3 production support through PagerDuty when needed.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, documentation, and operational-control standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Strong Python software development experience for analytical model implementation and production-grade code.
- Hands-on experience with quantitative, statistical, or mathematical models.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Foundation in statistics, data analysis, or quantitative concepts.
- Background in financial services, risk management, capital markets, or related domains.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery model and supporting production systems, including L3 support.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
- Preferred experience implementing or productionizing risk, capital, or liquidity models.
- Baseline exposure to AI and machine learning concepts.
- Experience supporting quantitative risk management teams and converting academic or theoretical models into reliable production software.
