Base Salary
$120k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write real-time firmware in C and C++ for microcontrollers controlling motion and haptic systems.
- Characterize actuator behavior on the bench and tune controllers for responsive, pleasant interaction.
- Prototype early hardware, validate response timing and feel, and help shape the final shipping experience with product and industrial design partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience writing microcontroller firmware in C and C++.
- Shipped hands-on motor or actuator-control experience using PID, feed-forward, FOC, observers, or similar techniques.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and I²C, SPI, or I²S bus traffic.
- Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language for measurement automation and quick data analysis.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-firmware teammates.
- Strong intuition for high-quality haptic experiences.
