Responsibilities
- Lead technical design discussions and produce clear design documents.
- Drive implementation of large features.
- Improve storage durability and throughput and support architectural changes for long-term service requirements.
- Shape coding methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of enterprise object-oriented programming experience with a heavy focus on backend development.
- Experience building large-scale software systems running on thousands of servers.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Experience across software design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, curiosity, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Java or Rust is a bonus.
- Experience developing host-managed SMR solutions is a bonus.
- Experience improving CPU and I/O performance is a bonus.
- Familiarity with hard-drive performance and optimization is a bonus.
- Experience building and interpreting models, dashboards, or reports is a bonus.
- Understanding of Linux internals and file systems is a bonus.
