Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing reporting experiences that let users combine business data, reshape views, save configurations, and explore underlying transactions.
- Improve reporting engine performance so complex queries remain responsive as data volumes grow.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date calculations when transactions or source data change.
- Create shared reporting capabilities, including consistent calculations, permissions, and performance patterns, for other product teams.
- Make reported numbers easier to inspect and trace to their source while preserving existing reports and workflows.
- Own engineering work from investigation and design through testing, deployment, production operation, and support.
- Use AI tools to improve engineering workflows and verification and explore ways customers can describe financial questions and shape reports.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering partners and contribute to team practices through communication, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience and a track record of delivering and operating reliable production software.
- Practical experience with data-intensive systems, relational databases, or complex queries, including understanding performance trade-offs.
- Ability to build automated checks that provide confidence in calculations and system behavior.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, evaluate technical trade-offs, and deliver useful improvements without unnecessary complexity.
- Experience taking ownership across the delivery lifecycle, from customer needs and solution shaping through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Clear communication, openness to constructive challenge, and effective collaboration with Product, Design, and engineering partners.
- Interest in applying AI tools to engineering work while verifying outputs and remaining accountable for quality.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, or financial software is valuable.

- Base salary range of 131,800–150,000 CAD, with eligible variable compensation including annual bonus and equity programs; compensation figures are excluded from benefit details.
