Responsibilities
- Develop and own product build and release procedures and end-to-end delivery for AI solutions.
- Productionize multimodal, agentic LLM, and other AI solutions as secure, scalable services with strong user experiences.
- Integrate AI with aero-engine engineering domains, including CFD, FEA, thermal and structural analysis, test data, PLM, and the digital thread.
- Own production data pipelines, model and agent serving, monitoring, containerized deployment, and build and release pipelines.
- Lead technically complex projects, inform compute and model-hosting investments, and make build-versus-buy recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership, design review, mentoring, documentation, and transition of delivered capabilities to program owners.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR/export control, CMMC, RMF/ATO, security, and classified or unclassified environment requirements.
- Work with engineering, IT, platform teams, vendors, customers, and senior leaders to influence decisions and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall engineering experience.
- Required experience delivering production AI/ML systems and end-to-end services.
- Ability to maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite for obtaining one.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to meet U.S. person/export-control requirements.
- Fluency in aero-engine and turbomachinery engineering, including aerodynamics, combustion, heat transfer, structures, rotordynamics, and materials.
- Hands-on familiarity with CFD, FEA, thermal and structural simulation, engine and rig test data, surrogate and physics-informed modeling, model-based systems engineering, the digital thread, and PLM.
- Strong Python development and proficiency in at least one of C++, Rust, Go, or Java, along with API, version-control, and testing practices.
- Strong DevSecOps and MLOps capabilities involving cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, observability, and tools such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
- Production experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic frameworks, and multimodal AI.
- Experience integrating services with enterprise, digital-thread, PLM, and simulation systems.
- Experience in aerospace and defense or comparable regulated environments, including ITAR/export control, CMMC, RMF/ATO, or air-gapped and impact-level environments.
- Demonstrated project leadership, technical communication, change management, analytical problem-solving, negotiation, and ability to lead blended teams.
